We purchased two of these rockers to replace two older Adirondack chairs on our open deck. The rockers are beautiful and very generous in proportions (I’m 6’2″ and 210lbs.). Packaging was very good and the rockers arrived in perfect condition. Assembly took me a total of thirty minutes for both rockers including unpacking and setting up an area to lay out the parts. I do recommend that you start all fasteners and only tighten them all after the assembly is complete.

Purchased two of these chairs last year. Covered them during the winter. The chairs this year look just as good and are just as comfortable. Was pleased with them so much we purchased an additional two chairs this year. They are comfortable and rock just fine. They are high end and definitely are not junk – I would recommend.

I’m very happy with these chairs. It took a minute to understand the directions and I’d suggest they have a close up of exactly whats what. They seem like an excellent value for the money. I bought a table also and it all looks so nice on the deck with our old chairs.

This is my third Douglas Nance Rocker. I bought the first two a year ago from a competitor to Houzz, then discovered Houzz had the same chair at a better price and the shipping was faster. The Douglas Nance rockers are wonderful, so much better than similar (though cheaper) competitors. As another reviewer said: “worth every penny.” Mine are beautiful. They are very well made, with substantial thickness to the arms and legs, nicely made parts, and an excellent fastening system. The parts come packed in a box that has been filled with spray foam, making unpacking a chore but ensuring safe transit. The assembly instructions could be a bit more clear, but there’s an assembly a video from Douglas Nance that, if watched first, makes things easier. I HIGHLY recommend this chair!

The chair arrived & was so easy to put together. Seriously surpasses our expectations. Beautifully crafted, roomy, sturdy….just beautiful!!! We are so pleased with this item & with the company in general. We had a little trouble with shipping but it was corrected very quickly with impeccable customer service. We are very impressed with the product AND with the people!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Overall I really like this rocker. It’s very solid. I don’t think it’s the manufacturers fault but the box came damaged and a piece of wood split. I repaired it rather than return the item.
